Charting the fleet…

How it works

How CruiseStar works

Your personal cruise log — with friends, chats, and the fleet.

CruiseStar is a first-party log of ocean ships. Rate what you’ve sailed, save what you want next, talk with other sailors, and keep a simple record you can return to every trip.

  1. Icon of the Seas

    Step 01

    Find a ship

Search by ship name, cruise line, or IMO. Browse popular ships from this month, or open a line page when you already know the brand.

    • Use Search for a specific ship
    • Popular is great when you’re exploring
    • Line pages group whole fleets
    Open Search
  2. Oasis of the Seas

    Step 02

    Rate, sail, or save

On a ship page you leave a 1–5 rating (half stars allowed), mark that you’ve sailed, or save it to your bucket list. Hearts and sailed marks are separate from the score.

    • Rate only ships you’ve been on
    • Bucket list is for ships you want next
    • Your score helps the fleet average
    Browse ships
  3. Symphony of the Seas

    Step 03

    Read and write reviews

Scroll a ship page for public reviews from other sailors. Leave your own when you have something useful to say — real notes beat empty stars.

    • Reviews show on the ship page
    • Be specific about food, staff, or cabins
    • Creators can share referral links
    See popular ships
  4. Carnival Conquest

    Step 04

    Join ship and sailing chats

Every ship has a group chat. Roll-call chats gather people on the same sailing dates. Community keeps rooms usable with reports and kicks.

    • Open chat from any ship page
    • Find sailings under Friends → Chats
    • Mute a chat anytime from the thread menu
    Open Friends chats
  5. Disney Wish

    Step 05

    Follow friends and activity

Search sailors by username, follow people you sail with, and watch friend activity on Home and in Friends. Mutual follows unlock DMs.

    • Friends holds requests and contact invites
    • Friends’ latest ships appear on Home
    • Your public profile shows trophies and logs
    Find sailors
  6. Queen Mary 2

    Step 06

    Read the journal

Guides, stories, and adventures from CruiseStar bloggers — with ship photos, ratings, and reviews embedded so you can act on what you read.

    • Filter by Guides, Stories, or Adventures
    • Every post credits its author

Ratings, clearly

How scores work

A rating is a 1–5 score with half stars allowed. Hearts and sailed marks are separate. The number on a ship page is the mean of sailor ratings. CruiseStar does not write scores onto Wikipedia.

Each ship is identified by its Wikidata item and, when available, its English Wikipedia article and IMO number — so the score always belongs to the right vessel.
