Princess Cruises just made its bundled fare packages more expensive. Starting with sailings that depart today, October 13, 2026, both Princess Plus and Princess Premier cost five dollars more per person, per day. This guide breaks down exactly what changes before you add a package to your booking.
- Princess Plus now costs $70 per person per day when bought before the cruise, $75 onboard.
- Princess Premier now costs $105 per person per day pre-cruise, $110 onboard.
- The standalone four-device Wi-Fi plan is gone for separate purchase, replaced by a new two-device plan.
- No changes to package benefits were announced.
The new package prices
For most of the Princess fleet, the pre-cruise price of Princess Plus moves from $65 to $70 per person per day. Wait until you board and it is $75, up from $70. Princess Premier moves from $100 to $105 pre-cruise, and from $105 to $110 if you buy it onboard.
Sun Princess and Star Princess already priced five dollars higher than the rest of the fleet, and that gap stays. On those two ships, Plus now costs $75 a day pre-cruise and Premier $110, with onboard pricing higher still.
The date that matters is the sail date, not the date you booked or the date you add the package. The new rates apply to sailings departing on or after October 13, 2026.
What it costs on a real sailing
Five dollars a day sounds small until you multiply it across a cabin and a week. On a seven-night sailing it adds $35 per person, or $70 for two people buying the package for the full cruise. Stretch that to a fourteen-night sailing and the increase is $70 per person, $140 for a couple.
Buying before you sail still saves money. The pre-cruise price stays below the onboard price for both packages, so locking it in ahead of time avoids paying the hike twice.
The Wi-Fi shakeup
Internet plans change alongside the packages. Princess is discontinuing the standalone four-device Wi-Fi plan. Four-device access now comes only as a Princess Premier benefit.
In its place, a new standalone two-device plan launches at $39.99 per day when purchased before the cruise, $47.99 per day onboard for the full voyage, or $55.99 for a single day onboard. Pricing for the one-device standalone plan is also being updated.
If you sail with a phone and a tablet, the two-device plan is now the middle option that did not exist before. Run the numbers against the packages before you pick one.
Plus vs Premier, quick refresher
Plus is the entry bundle: drinks up to $15 each, Wi-Fi on one device per guest, crew appreciation, casual dining meals, and room service. Premier is the top bundle: drinks up to $20, Wi-Fi on up to four devices, unlimited casual and specialty dining, plus shore excursion credits that scale with sailing length.
The price gap between them stays at $35 a day per person on most ships. On a ten-day sailing that difference is $700 for two guests, so the real question is whether you will use the specialty dining and extra device coverage enough to justify the jump.
What Princess did not say
The notice, shared in a letter to travel advisors, does not spell out whether packages already purchased for upcoming sailings will be repriced at the new rates. Do not assume a package you already bought is changing, and do not assume it is safe either. Check your booking confirmation and your travel summary before your sail date.
Princess also did not announce any change to what the packages include. Plus still bundles the beverage package, one-device Wi-Fi, crew appreciation, casual dining meals, and room service. Premier still adds the higher beverage tier, four-device Wi-Fi, unlimited casual and specialty dining, and shore excursion credits. The crew appreciation included with both packages continues to go to the crew members providing the service.
Is the package still worth it?
That depends on your habits, not the sticker price. Five dollars a day more does not move the needle if you would have bought the package anyway and you actually use the drinks, Wi-Fi, and dining credits it includes. It stings most for the on-the-fence buyer, the one who was already doing the math at $65 a day.
The last time Princess touched these packages, in July 2025, it raised prices and added benefits at the same time. This time the price moves alone.
